why, depending on which review you read and from which seller, some of the reviews give away maj or events which take place in the show that the reviewers SHOULD NOT be telling someone that has not watched the show. having stated that i did not even receive the show yet, why am i writing this review (?), to let anyone interested in this show know that they should read the synops in the add and if you like csi, criminal minds, etc., you will probably like this show, so don't even read the reviews. pretty much, excellent and five stars comments. i am sure that i will as well and today i shopped for the other three seasons and gazed at the reviews. this one is compared by many reviewers as comparable to csi, and if you like csi you will like profiler. i love criminal minds, ncis and the other profiler shows.

This review is a little off the beaten path as i have not actually even recieved the series yet. I highly recommend the show to anyone who is intrigued by FBI profiling and a good sense of drama in catching the bad guys and understanding the good guys. Profiler Season 1 is an excellent show which is just as enjoyable on DVD as it was when I originally watched the episodes on TV. As a comparison, Criminal Minds final episode of Season 1 and first episode of Season 2 pointed out that the team members knew very little about each other's personal lives. With each episode, the actors/actresses proceed to develop their characters to be more than one dimensional. Th e rest of the cast portray their characters with a common sense of believability which enhances each show.

Season 1 begins with her surreptitious return as a profiler, but quickly accelerates into a chess match between Sam and Jack, all while she and the FBI team catch other serial criminals.
At the same time, she has to contend with the criminal mind of a master serial killer, Jack of All Trades, who brought tragedy to her life which forced her to abandon her job. Ally Walker did an outstanding job portraying the intuitive FBI profiler, Samantha Waters, who must discern what the serial criminals are thinking. While I enjoy Criminal Minds and its teamwork approach, Profiler, Season 1, combines great story lines about the work and characters lives and always maintains your interest. Profiler is one of the original criminal profiling shows (the first was called "UNSUB", but did not last).
